Placenta Encapsulation
What is the benefits of encapsulating your placenta?
During pregnancy, the placenta produces many useful hormones, & when a mother births her placenta, she loses those hormones. It can often take 6 months to a year for the body to balance these hormones again. However when you take your placenta pills it helps reintroduce these hormones into the mother's body faster in small doses, until her body resumes its natural hormonal balance. At the time of delivery, a woman's hormonal levels are three times greater than normal, in which she has nine months to adapt. However, after delivery, a woman only has hours to adapt to drastically declining hormone levels. Encapsulating your placenta will guide your body back to it's pre-labor state & help assist with your postpartum health!
How does ingesting my placenta help with postpartum depression, stress, and energy levels?
The placenta produces stress fighting hormones the help mother and baby. Once the placenta is no longer present, it can take months for the brain and body to level out those hormones. During this time, the instability can cause depression and low energy levels. One of the hormones that help with depression in the placenta is called the Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone. The secretion of CRH releases other hormones, including cortisol, which helps us fight stress. During the last weeks of pregnancy, the placenta secretes a lot of CRH into the blood stream. However, after birth, the levels remain low because the placenta is no longer there. Therefore, ingesting your placenta will help raise the levels of CRH naturally, which will increase cortisol to fight stress and postpartum depression. The placenta also produces the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, which regulates the thyroid gland, boosts energy, and supports recovery from stressful events.
